Introduction¶
This document describes how to install Cyberelements Identity version 7.0.
It only describes the actions to be performed for a standard installation or upgrade of the Cyberelements Identity product and its synchronization engine. After completing the operations described in this section of the website, it is necessary to:
- Configure the product in the case of a new installation (project start-up);
- Migrate the configuration data in the case of a migration of the solution to a new server with an existing configuration backup.
For upgrades to cyberelements Identity 7.0, if the initial version is lower than Systancia Identity 6.0, it will be necessary to reinstall the solution on new servers and transfer the initial configuration to the new environment.
The project methodology for these upgrades is as follows:
- Perform an audit to identify the configuration;
- Transfer the configuration adapted to the version being integrated;
- Transfer of manually integrated data (persons, rights, etc.) from the initial version's DB to the new database.
If the initial version is lower than Systancia Identity 6.2, it is necessary to upgrade to 6.2 so that the database is compliant for the Cyberelements Identity 7.0 update.
You should contact a certified integrator to evaluate the project methodology to be applied when upgrading.
Warning¶
In the event of a solution upgrade, functions and procedures stored outside the product (not developed by Systancia) may generate errors when Cyberelements Identity is installed. As a precaution, we recommend that you back up any out-of-product procedures and features and then delete them before installing the new version. The out-of-product procedures and functions required to use the solution must then be reintegrated with the backups made beforehand.
As a reminder, the use of specific procedures and functions is not recommended by Systancia.
Systancia cannot be held responsible for any malfunctioning of the solution if it is linked to procedures or functions outside the product.
