The product lifecycle of Systancia On Client Infrastructure Products

Principle

An “Alpha” product version

An “Alpha” product version is a build of a minor version currently in development that the R&D director authorizes Systancia teams to use to demonstrate a feature currently under development. It cannot be used by customers and can only be installed in a cyberelements environment for demonstration purposes.

A “Beta” product version

A “Beta” version is a build of a minor version currently under development (before it is declared GA). It is used by a customer to test a major development in advance of its release as part of an “early adopter” contract.

General Availability (GA)

A product version becomes GA when it is available for customers to download from the MySystancia Marketplace. It is associated with a release date that serves as a reference for calculating the end-of-support date for previous versions.

Limited Availability (LA)

This is a GA-quality version with restricted distribution that is delivered with the explicit agreement of Product Management.

End of Sale

A product version in End of Sale status cannot be offered for sale to new customers.

End of Support (EOS)

Systancia can no longer provide maintenance and support services for a product version that has reached “End of Support” (EOS) status. Customers who pay a maintenance and support fee will still be able to contact Systancia for support, but Systancia may not necessarily be able to provide a solution to the customer's problem on an “EOS” version: it then enters into an extended support mode (described below).

End of Life (EOL)

A product reaches its end of life (EOL) when support for the latest version of that product is discontinued (no further versions are planned for that product).

However, customers with EOS or EOL product versions have the option of subscribing to a “support extension” as defined in Systancia's General Terms and Conditions of Use (GTCU) and outlined in this section of the website.
